**Job Title: HVAC Technician**
**Job Description**
The HVAC Technician will focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across all systems. This role requires technical expertise in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations) and multi-skilling in others to complete work assignments effectively. The technician will perform maintenance, monitor repairs, and ensure all facility and building systems meet applicable standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and facility equipment.
+ Perform maintenance and monitoring of Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems.
+ Ensure facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance are managed efficiently.
+ Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels.
+ Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
+ Comply with departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
+ Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
+ Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
+ Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
**Essential Skills**
+ HVAC troubleshooting and repair
+ Preventive maintenance
+ EPA Universal Certification
+ 2 years or more of commercial HVAC experience
+ BMS system knowledge (ALC or Automated Logic)
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Clean DMV/MVR record
+ Experience with Electrical and Maintenance Technician roles

**Work Environment**
Candidates will work on-site at various campuses in the Bay Area, primarily in Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and San Bruno. They may need to commute between these sites, which are within 5 miles of each other, using a personal vehicle initially and a company vehicle once converted. The shift is Sunday to Thursday, with working hours from 6:00 am to 7:30 am. Candidates must have their own set of tools while on contract.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mountain View, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
