HVAC Technician
**Job Title: HVAC Technician** **Job Description** The HVAC Technician oversees all aspects of HVAC work, guiding others to complete jobs efficiently. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential customers. The technician diagnoses and repairs electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems. The HVAC Technician ensures high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Organizational skills and professional integrity are essential. **Responsibilities** + Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential customers. + Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems. + Travel to job sites within the service area and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate delays. + Be available for night or weekend shifts on a rotating basis to service emergency customer needs. + Maintain the company vehicle, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and submitting monthly inspection forms. + Drive the company truck to and from job sites. + Ensure the vehicle is stocked with necessary parts, tools, and safety equipment. + Understand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoices on-site. + Obtain customer signatures upon job completion. + Document all installed equipment details, including make, model, serial number, type of fuel, test measurements, and pictures. + Diagnose service issues, obtain replacement parts, calibrate systems, and explain issues and solutions to customers. + Participate in company-provided training on the latest industry technologies. + Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business. + Direct and manage helpers, taking notes for performance reviews and corrective actions with HR and the Service Manager. + Train and develop helpers, recognizing the need for additional training. + Maintain working knowledge of all necessary equipment and processes. + Ensure client satisfaction on every job. + Comply with all safety rules and monitor field staff adherence to safety regulations and procedures. + Complete and maintain all safety training and requirements. + Prepare and compile necessary reports, including incident reports and daily service work orders. + Maintain accurate time records and complete administrative work as needed. + Ensure job sites are left clean and orderly. + Ensure the highest quality standards for each job as per Manager's expectations. + Participate in all required meetings and continuing education opportunities for personal growth and development. + Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Essential Skills** + HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair + Diagnosing and repairing electronic, mechanical, and electrical components + EPA License + Communication proficiency with supervisors, peers, and subordinates + Active listening skills + Customer and client focus + Reading comprehension + Knowledge of required materials, methods, tools, and equipment + Results-driven + Stress management and composure + Teamwork orientation **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong organizational skills + Professional integrity + Courteous, initiative-taking, and enthusiastic + Ability to travel to job sites + Available for night and weekend shifts + Maintenance of company vehicle and inventory + Ability to generate customer invoices and obtain signatures + Documentation and record-keeping skills + Ability to train and manage helpers **Why Work Here?** Experience a tight-knit work environment with competitive pay and benefits. The work environment can be loud and involves working near moving mechanical parts, in outdoor conditions, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Employees are required to wear company-issued safety gear as necessary. This is a full-time position with regular hours from Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional Saturdays and variable start and end times per job, totaling 40 hours per week. Overtime and weekend work are expected, and the position frequently requires long hours. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to hire position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
