Job Description

As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory. You will be provided with a company van and tools to travel to various customer sites to maintain commercial properties. Your role involves performing minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical maintenance, as well as preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing commercial HVAC systems. You will also conduct tests and analyze data to ensure proper equipment functioning and provide recommendations as needed. Understanding control operation and the sequence of operation for commercial HVAC systems is crucial. Utilizing multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, and HVAC, you will solve maintenance problems while fostering strong relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.

ResponsibilitiesPerform thorough Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services on all standard package and split unit HVAC systems.Inspect and repair/replace belts and pulleys, clean condensate drain lines, test power/performance of compressors, fan motors, and blower motors.Test the function and safety of burners/heat exchangers, and operational controls.Conduct general repairs of steam/hot water boiler systems and diagnose airflow and ducting issues.Ensure the safe, efficient, and EPA compliant use of refrigerants.Diagnose and repair common mechanical, electrical, or system failures on standard boiler, package, and split unit HVAC systems.Perform minor plumbing maintenance such as unclogging toilets and drains, repairing leaks, and replacing fixtures.Conduct routine painting and carpentry work to maintain facilities in like-new condition.Perform minor electrical maintenance, including repairing or replacing fixtures, wall switches, and outlets, and replacing light bulbs, ballasts, and sockets.Complete service inspections and asset inspections.Essential SkillsExperience in HVAC service, troubleshooting, and field service.Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repair.Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems' control operation and sequence.Proficiency in multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and roofing.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with steam/hot water boiler systems.Ability to diagnose airflow and ducting repairs.Knowledge of EPA compliant use of refrigerants.Experience in safe un-sweating and brazing of copper components.Work Environment

You will work in a variety of commercial properties, utilizing a company van and tools. The role involves traveling within an assigned geographic territory. Expect to perform a range of tasks including minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical maintenance. Safety and compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures are paramount.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr.
