HVAC Technician
**Job Title: HVAC Technician** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The position has opened up due to increased workload. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial refrigeration and chillers. This full-time role requires performing preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting the engineering and maintenance team during projects and emergency situations. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize mean time between failures. + Conduct routine inspection and alignment checks of equipment, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair as needed. + Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted as required. + Troubleshoot equipment by reviewing work requests to determine potential nature of problems. + Verify troubleshooting analysis by disassembly and inspection of components using established procedures. + Support engineering and maintenance team during project installations and start-up of new equipment. + Provide input to help improve processes and ensure their reliability. + Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of equipment, diagnosing malfunctioning systems and locating the cause of breakdowns. + Respond timely to any electrical breakdown, locating the source of the problem by observation, testing, and talking with operators. + Provide maintenance assistance during routine and emergency shut-downs. + Operate within the core values of respect and care for others. + Comply with all legislated and relevant laws and regulations for safety and quality, including lockout/tagout, GMP, HACCP, Allergen, and specific policies and procedures. + Maintain work area and equipment, ensuring clean, sanitary, and orderly conditions, and apply 5S principles. + Ensure tools and equipment are in good working order; report any defective materials, missing or damaged tools to the supervisor. + Correctly complete any required reports or paperwork such as production data sheets and order documentation. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Universal EPA Certification + Three (3) years of experience in production machine repair + Experience with industrial refrigeration, including use of industrial freezers and high-pressure freezers + PLC troubleshooting, installation, and repair of motors + Mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines + Basic use of computer, tablet, scanner, and iPad for recording information + Ability to read and write English to review and prepare shipment paperwork/documents + Forklift driving skills to move products **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Manufacturing experience with GMP experience + Experience with preventive maintenance and changing filters, belts, and checking oil levels + Experience with electrical, troubleshooting, mechanical, maintenance technician roles, installation, pneumatics, hydraulics, boiler, and PLC control **Why Work Here?** We value our employees and care about their opinions. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
