HVAC Technician III – 2nd Shift
\r\n\r\nIn this role you will utilize your strong mechanical and electrical skills to provide an intermediate level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration-related equipment in an industrial environment.
\r\n\r\nResponsibilities:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPerform preventative and corrective maintenance to a wide variety of facility and process related equipment.\r\n\tDiagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair heating and ventilation equipment, rooftop AHU’s, split systems, pumps, fans, chillers, freezers, coolers and refrigerators, dryers, compressors, and other mechanical equipment as necessary.\r\n\tUtilize the building automation system to track building conditions and the operation of facilities equipment.\r\n\tUtilize Automated Building Controls training to respond and provide service/feedback to the customer on all work orders, hot and cold calls while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.\r\n\tPerform preventive maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\r\n\tRecommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.\r\n\tSafely perform functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.\r\n\tWork safely with 3-phase power up to and including 480V.\r\n\tTroubleshoot and diagnoses electrical circuits ranging from 24VAC/DC and up including lighting and load centers. Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.\r\n\tOperate a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.\r\n\tMaintain a strict schedule to be successful in the assignment yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.\r\n\tGeneral Maintenance of equipment will also be required.\r\n\tOther duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.\r\n\r\n\r\nMinimum Requirements:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tThree years of experience as an HVAC maintenance technician in an industrial environment or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.\r\n\tEPA Universal certification.\r\n\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAssociates degree or technical school diploma in industrial electrical, industrial mechanical, HVAC, or a related skilled trade.\r\n\tExperience working with electrical voltage up to 480V 3 phase.\r\n\tExperience troubleshooting and repairing Variable Frequency Drives.\r\n\tExperience repairing and installing sheet metal as related to air handling systems.\r\n\tExperience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.\r\n\tExperience reading prints and schematics.\r\n\tExperience with Restaurant style refrigeration systems.\r\n\tExperience with facility maintenance of garage doors, light plumbing, Dock locks, electrical and light carpentry. Other duties as assigned.\r\n\r\n\r\nPhysical Requirements:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tRequires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.\r\n\tRequires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.\r\n\tRequires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.\r\n\tRequires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.\r\n\tRequires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.\r\n\tRequires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.\r\n\tRequires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.\r\n\tRequires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife. \r\n\tRequires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.\r\n\tSome tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.\r\n\tRequires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.\r\n\r\n\r\nSpecial Requirements:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tWear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.\r\n\tCope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.\r\n\r\n\r\nAdditional Information:
