S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our maintenance functions. As a maintenance technician, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations in support of our diverse teams. In this job, you will perform various construction and installation tasks on continuous improvement and repair/maintenance projects as assigned by your leadership team - Facilities Engineering & Maintenance or their designate. You will work closely with various Product Divisions, Support Organizations, contractors, consultants, and other Facilities personnel. Tasks include measuring, working from ladders, dismantling equipment, reading and interpreting drawings, disconnecting and reconnecting equipment, cutting, bending, installing/dismantling of new and existing piping systems, threading and assembling of piping, properly terminating of piping valves and accessories, troubleshooting and repair of facilities/process equipment, anchoring of equipment and accessories to concrete floors and walls, some rigging and movement of equipment both manually and with the use of a fork lift.
Key Responsibilities:
Reading layouts, diagrams, project commissioning documents, and material lists with the ability to complete related assigned task. Handle the inspection, repair, installation, modification and maintenance of HVAC, HV, AC, etc. equipment.Assisting other Facilities personnel with engineering improvement, construction task and daily work request.Exercising some judgment with making decisions on assigned projects or tasks.Use appropriate welding gases to produce quality welds and set up fixtures for a variety of welding assignments (Soft solder, brazing, silver solder etc.).Fabrication, installation, and detailed assembly work as required, and production rearrangements.What you’ll Need To Succeed:
Job Requirements (To select this job at a minimum you must have the following):
5 years of experience as an industrial technician with a foundation in HVAC equipment.EPA Certificate requiredAbility to read blueprints, wiring diagrams or schematics.Experienced in Soldering (Soft solder, brazing & silver soldering).Proficiency with refrigeration theory and the use of refrigerant gauges.Demonstrated ability to using a variety of hand/Power tools.Ability to troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems related to facilities equipment.Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical operations.Major Physical Demands:
