Roles and Responsibilities
As the Hybrid Electric Components Program Manager, you will:
Empower physical and psychological safety across a multidisciplinary team executing complex technology programCoordinate US and global parties both within and external to GE Aerospace to develop high quality requirements, negotiate technical and programmatic conflicts, and deliver high quality reviewsUnderstand, communicate, and negotiate program deliverables and schedules for hybrid electric power systems and electrical / electronic componentsLead operations and drive continuous improvement of the electrical power components team by understanding technical work at the sourceLead strategic initiatives for development of new technologies, including internal capability development and external supplier investmentActively prepare for, participate in, and document design program management reviewsManage program budgets and forecastsProvide clear, timely communication of technical and programmatic issuesApply GE best practices and document lessons learnedDevelop and generate reports and documents for internal leaders and external customersPresent results to internal (GE) and external (customer, supplier, agency, government, …) customersCollaborate effectively in a diverse, global, distributed work environmentAdditionally, you will responsible to continually mature your personal and professional development through training opportunities, mentorship, and formal career path definition.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university with at least 8 years experience in engineering and/or program management rolesDesired Characteristics
Highly-motivated, self-starting, and passionateDemonstrated team leadership, collaboration, and facilitation skillsFamiliarity with power systems, electrical hardware, and power electronicsStrong technical communication skills and willingness to continually improve communication and influencing skills in more-distributed work environmentsFlexible and friendly approach to working in teamsKnowledge of energy storage and conversion (batteries, fuel cells, ...) systemsTest system and test setup design experienceFamiliarity with GE business structure and subsidiariesKeen listener and innate drive to succeedThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
