Description We are offering a temporary employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant based in Walnut Creek, California. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in our finance function, working closely with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Investigate and address Work In Progress (WIP) Credits to maintain financial accuracy • Conduct research to resolve Unidentified and Unapplied Receipts • Manage and record company credit card expenses • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures by preparing journal entries and supporting schedules • Maintain Rent Schedules and Contracts • Reconcile Fixed Assets • Handle local sales and property tax filings across multiple offices • Assist in the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of new financial accounting controls and procedures Requirements • Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations is a must for this role. • Applicants should have comprehensive knowledge and experience in managing the General Ledger. • Demonstrable experience in handling Journal Entries is required. • The role necessitates a strong background in Month End Close procedures.
