Position SummaryResponsible for the execution of hydraulic deliverables for new product development and live order development of horizontal and vertical pumps. Engineers new pump performance curves and specifies required modifications. Designs 3D CAD models of hydraulic passageways (including but not limited to impellers, discharge volutes, diffusers, suctions). Simulates fluid dynamic performance of new designs using CFD. Supports global test engineering group through test validation. Supplies other departments with hydraulic passageways for new product or custom order developments, as well as providing related technical support. Works under general direction of Senior Hydraulic Engineers.
Essential Responsibilities Design pump hydraulic geometry using software tools (CREO, CFturbo, etc.)Assist with assigned hydraulic engineering calculations and creation of pump performance curvesSimulate pump hydraulic performance using CFD software (ANSYS, etc.)Assist senior hydraulic engineers with laboratory validation testing and documentation of best practicesParticipate on cross functional project teams Position Requirements B.S. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.
