The Opportunity
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead data collection for water, used water and river modelling projects. Lead data assessment and collation for technical and social impact assessments Prepare and check the outline designs related to water quantity and quality issues. Plan, check and structure reports, minutes of meetings, and management documents to support the project managers/senior engineers. Collate design information and ensure that relevant gateways, checks and quality assurance steps have been completed Prepare plans for surveys and rainfall pattern verifications Undertake sensitivity analysis for different rainfall patterns based on climate change estimates. Assist in the design of various aspects of projects, as needed, to help bridge any gaps or issues. Lead the liaison with relevant external parties to ensure understanding of the project requirements. Prepares outputs directed by project teams Ensures operation in accordance with local Quality Assurance procedures. Undertakes work within defined budgets and Arup fee scales. Help develop project programmes and proposals. Contributes to the development of good practice within discipline through involvement with skills networks. Is this role right for you?
Licensed professional in appropriate discipline, post graduate studies will be an advantage 8-10 years relevant work experience Experience in collection and analysis of rainfall data and river flows to develop design solutions. Preparation of reports, presentations and specifications for field work and permanent solutions. Experience with software solutions for hydrology such as HEC-RAS-HEC HMS and spatial data assessment such as ArcGIS and QGIS.
