The Opportunity
We are looking for a wastewater hydraulic modeller to enhance our team. You will be joining a multi-disciplinary technical delivery team working on a wide variety of projects with local and international clients. These include wastewater and stormwater catchment modelling studies (including WINEP/NEP and storm overflows) and developing solutions of all kinds. We design and build frameworks, ensuring you see your solutions developed from cradle to grave including SuDS / Nature based solutions. We invest in our own bespoke research every year, often working in partnerships, to develop our knowledge, author industry guidance, and build digital tools and products. You will become a part of our global modelling centre of excellence in Cardiff/Bristol alongside peers and expert modellers. This is an opportunity to work on a broad range of UK projects at all stages including strategic advice, catchment and city level planning, concept and detailed solutions, and post construction evaluation.
Is this role right for you?
You will become a part of our global modelling centre of excellence in Cardiff/Bristol alongside peers and expert modellers. You will have the opportunity to; deliver wastewater network modelling projects, including model build and flow survey verification. Delivering to industry standards and specifications; Use 1D hydraulic models for risk analysis and develop solutions for water quality and flood risk benefits including storm overflows and wastewater treatment works; Develop wastewater network / catchment survey specifications and liaise with survey sub-contractors.
You will be a part of our modelling centre of excellence and embedded in our global training programme; Work with our local multi-disciplinary expert water team, delivering holistic catchment solutions with a strong focus on nature based solutions; Develop technical reports, models, business cases (including multi-capitals), supporting calculations, and other key modelling deliverables; Work closely with and present to our clients. Present results, Use digital tools to enhance, optimise and automate our offering.
We are looking for qualifications, skills and knowledge in the following:
Practical skill in hydraulic modelling techniques within the UK water industry, specifically using InfoWorks ICM including Level 1 UPM water quality modelling. Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, working towards chartership with an appropriate organisation Some track record of successfully delivering water projects in the UK, including collaboration with private/public sector clients and regulators.Not ready to apply just yet, or have a few questions?
