Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Hydraulics & Stormwater Engineer in Raleigh, NC. Responsibilities include: Serves as a project engineer on projects and as a technical resource and/or project manager May assist with or lead marketing pursuits and/or act as a client contact May perform supervisory duties related to the assigned projects Assists with pricing, estimating, and scoping for proposed projects Prepares and/or monitors budgets and work-in-process for specific tasks within assigned projects Develops probable construction cost estimates for specific tasks within assigned projects Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and designs for projects Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents Performs and/or oversees quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual Visits project sites to monitor progress and handles routine construction administration May serve as onsite project representative Attends client meetings - days or nights Other duties as assigned A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering from an accredited college or university and at least 6 years of experience. A PE license is required. The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: Familiarity with NCDOT Hydraulics Unit design guidelines, policies and procedures Experience with Microstation, Geopak Drainage, ORD, H&H software (HEC-RAS, EPA SWMM, HydroCAD) Experience with Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GIS), Low Impact Design (LID), Stormwater Control Measure/BMP design Why Mead & Hunt?
