Position Summary
The Hydrogen Plant Operations Lead is responsible for monitoring plant operators, technicians, equipment, and systems daily to ensure proper production and efficiencies are being met. The Plant Lead will screen systems and equipment for issues and will resolve as needed. The ideal candidate must have a high competency in equipment operating principles, operating parameters, interlocks, alarms, and how the equipment functions within its respective system. This role will work in all areas of the facility which operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Plant Lead must have exceptional attention to detail, mechanical aptitude and must understand the purpose and function of the equipment and systems within the plant. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, able to multi-task and willing to learn and adapt within a fast-paced growing organization.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred One-three years of prior experience in a manufacturing operation or chemical industry preferredPrevious supervisory experience highly preferredProven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphereSuperior interpersonal skills and communication abilitiesStrong troubleshooting, diagnosis, decision making and leadership skillsMust possess a valid driver license, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicleMust be able to lift 50 pounds on regular basis unassistedAbility to work in inclement weather for short periods of timeAbility to travel up to 15% of the timeMust be able to read and interpret P&ID’s, equipment manuals, and vendor operating instructionAbility to wear all required safety equipment and work in confined spacesAbility to pass a respirator physical and wear all personal protective equipment (e.g., mask, glasses, etc.)Mechanical or electrical experience – trade related in Industrial Maintenance or Operations (e.g., factory, plant operations, power plant, hydrogen, gas or nuclear facility operations) preferredExperience and ability operating and monitoring electric generators, chillers, compressors, and auxiliary equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, etc.) preferredPay Rate:
