I&c Technician
Job Title: Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled, organized, and detail-oriented Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Technician / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the infield verification of instrumentation installation and control system operation. This role involves working closely with engineering teams, facilities, metrology, and project subcontractors to ensure instrumentation is installed and tested per design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities + Perform and oversee loop checks, signal verification, and troubleshooting of instrumentation to ensure proper installation and functionality. + Ensure that instrumentation installation complies with project specifications. + Organize testing and verification strategy for instrumentation where applicable. + Support necessary functional testing of control systems, alarms, and safety systems. + Review P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, technical specifications, and calibration records as applicable. + Execute and document infield verification and resolve any discrepancies. + Maintain and organize tracker for identified discrepancies and issues, driving resolutions to ensure minimal impact on project timelines. Essential Skills + Experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA systems, specifically Rockwell and Delta-V. + 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls. + Proficiency in infield verification of instrumentation installation and control system operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, technical trade school, or apprenticeship program. + Proven experience (5+ years) in an I&C related field, preferably in the cGMP pharmaceutical or equivalent biotechnology industry. + Experience with large capital project execution. + Familiarity with engineering drawings. + Strong understanding of instrumentation systems including pressure, temperature, flow, level, control valves, analyzers, etc. #LIJobsAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
