**Description**
Austin Industrial, Inc- We are currently seeking an experienced I & E Foreman to be based in La Porte, TX.
This position requires Valid Driver's License and TWIC Card (Must Have Card).
This is a long-term Maintenance position working 4X10's +OT. No Per Diem.

**Instrumentation and Electrician Foreman**
The I&E Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of I&E crews. This role ensures the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
**Specific Duties and Responsibilities:**
**Supervision & Leadership:**
+ Lead and manage a team of I&E technicians and electricians on-site.
+ Ensure safe work practices and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
+ Provide hands-on support and guidance to team members when needed.
+ Oversee the work schedules and ensure that tasks are completed on time.
+ Ensure high-quality standards are met in all aspects of work.
**Installation & Maintenance:**
+ Oversee the installation of electrical and instrumentation systems, including wiring, controllers, transmitters, sensors, and other related equipment.
+ Monitor and coordinate the maintenance and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems to keep them operational.
+ Troubleshoot complex electrical and instrumentation issues and direct the team in providing solutions.
**Project Coordination:**
+ Work closely with the project manager or superintendent to ensure the project is on track and meets timelines.
+ Coordinate materials and tools required for installations and repairs.
+ Ensure compliance with design specifications, applicable codes, and standards.
**Safety & Compliance:**
+ Enforce workplace safety and environmental regulations on-site.
+ Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks with the team.
+ Ensure the team uses personal protective equipment (PPE) and adheres to safety protocols.
**Documentation & Reporting:**
+ Maintain accurate records of work completed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.
+ Submit daily or weekly progress reports to project management.
+ Document any issues that arise and report them to the appropriate stakeholders.
**Collaboration & Communication:**
+ Maintain effective communication with project managers, engineers, and other departments.
+ Coordinate with other trades or contractors working on the site to ensure smooth operations.
**Physical Demands** Ability to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., outdoors, confined spaces, at heights). Must be able to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.). Ability to stand, walk, or kneel for extended periods.
**Qualifications Required for this Position:**
+ Proven experience as an I&E Technician, Electrician, or similar role, with supervisory experience preferred.
+ In-depth knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
+ Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA, OSHA).
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
+ Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
**Education** – no minimum education requirements. Relevant certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, Instrumentation Technician certification) are a plus.
**Experience** – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
