Adecco is assisting an Auto Auction in recruiting for a Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher opening in Brandywine, MD. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. As a Customer Service Representative, you will handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide appropriate solutions while ensuring smooth data processing and administrative support. **Responsibilities**
+ Provide excellent customer service by taking incoming calls and resolving inquiries effectively.
+ Deliver customer support via mail, telephone, and direct interaction.
+ Process orders and assignments, entering data into internal systems with precision.
+ Reference pricing and delivery information and respond to customer questions.
+ Create and maintain accurate records while performing general clerical duties such as word processing, filing, and data entry.
+ Prepare paperwork for auction day, securing necessary approvals.
+ Support office operations by assisting with additional tasks as needed.
**Additional Insights on Responsibilities**
+ **Data Processing Expertise:** Candidates with a background in data entry or processing will excel in this role. Tasks may involve scanning, classifying, and filing a high volume of vehicle title information. For instance, over 300 titles were processed within one week during a similar assignment.
+ **System Navigation:** While the system is not overly complicated, minimal training is provided. Candidates should be resourceful and quick learners, capable of navigating and processing data with minimal guidance.
+ **Attention to Detail:** Precision is critical due to system defaults that require manual adjustments. Supervisors typically handle corrections, and they work under a "fast-paced, once-and-done" philosophy.
+ **Self-Starter Environment:** Staff members are helpful, but success in this role depends on being proactive and independent in managing your workload.
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
+ Ability to work overtime as needed.
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent problem-solving abilities.
+ Experience handling high call volumes is required.
+ Dispatch experience is preferred.
+ Typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks.
+ Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
+ Perfect attendance is mandatory.
+ Reliable transportation is required (this location is **not metro-accessible** ).
**Schedule and Benefits**
+ Full-Time Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
+ Adecco provides a comprehensive benefits package to contract workers after one week of employment.
