IAM Analyst Intern

Primary Function:

As an IAM Analyst Intern, you will assist the Identity and Access Management team in maintaining, optimizing, and monitoring access controls to ensure the security and compliance of the organization's systems.

In this internship you will gain hands-on experience in managing user roles, access permissions, and authentication protocols, contributing to the safeguarding of sensitive data. Develop an understanding of security best practices and enhance technical and problem-solving skills within a professional IT security environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist with IAM audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security policies and standards. Support the development and testing of IAM solutions and integrations. Perform IAM administration tasks such as access reviews, review, and prioritization of IAM alerts, and ticket creation for remediation efforts Document IAM policies, procedures, and best practices. Research and analyze IAM trends and technologies.

 Education/Background Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field. Basic knowledge of IAM concepts and principles such as authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle, and role-based access control.

 Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Familiarity with IAM tools and platforms such as Active Directory, Azure AD, CISCO DUO, or AD Audit/Manager. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills. Self-motivated and eager to learn.
