IAM Operations Analyst

This is a great opportunity for someone with a foundational understanding of IAM systems who is looking to develop expertise in an operational capacity within a dynamic security environment. 

We are seeking an IAM Analyst (Operations) to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team and support the daily operational management of our IAM solutions. This role focuses on the hands-on administration, troubleshooting, and support of IAM systems, ensuring seamless user access, compliance, and security. 

You will play a key role in managing user provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, and general IAM workflows, working closely with security, IT operations, and business units to maintain a secure and efficient identity management environment.

What Else You Get To Do

Manage access requests and approval workflows for new, modified, or terminated user accounts, ensuring compliance with internal security policies and best practices.  Support access review cycles, working with business units to validate appropriate user access based on role and function.  Administer and manage the lifecycle of user identities across systems and applications, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access changes based on role or business need.  Maintain and monitor identity data integrity in IAM systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.  Identify opportunities to streamline IAM processes and workflows, helping to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.  Support efforts to automate IAM tasks, such as user provisioning and access reviews, using available tools and scripting languages.  Support with user password reset and authentication-related issues, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) configurations.  Provide troubleshooting support for users experiencing access or login issues, escalating more complex issues to senior IAM team members or security operations as needed.  Monitor IAM systems for operational performance, identifying potential security incidents or access-related issues and escalating them when necessary.  Investigate and respond to IAM-related incidents, such as unauthorized access, access violations, and system errors, working closely with the security operations team.  Assist in the configuration and maintenance of IAM platforms and related systems, including updates, patches, and integrations with other enterprise applications and systems.  Collaborate with IT support teams to troubleshoot and resolve IAM system-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to user access and business operations.  Generate and maintain reports on user access, IAM activity, and compliance status to support internal audits, security reviews, and compliance requirements.  Assist in preparing documentation for regular access certifications and audits, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.  Support and be available on an on-call basis as required. 

 

Who You Are: 

2-4 years of experience in Identity and Access Management, IT security, or a related operational role.  Hands-on experience with IAM platforms and associated workflows.  Familiarity with access control models (i.e., RBAC) and user provisioning systems.  Basic understanding of IAM protocols.  Familiarity with authentication mechanisms, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and password management systems.  Experience with basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate IAM processes is a plus.  IT audit compliance understanding  Strong knowledge of MS Active Directory and Azure Active Directory  Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills  Technical understanding of Identity Governance and Administration processes and interactions with supporting processes and technologies (e.g., HR, ITSM, SOC, etc.).  Conscientious self-starter who enjoys working in a team environment, requires minimum supervision, fosters collaborative working groups, and is able to cope effectively under pressure with shifting priorities.  Displays sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy in challenging situations.  Experience with and an understanding of Cloud Application Security capabilities and limitations.  Experience working with 3rd party service providers.
