A place where you can bring innovation to life. **Your role and responsibilities** The IBM event team plans and executes best-in-class virtual, in-person and hybrid events that deliver new pipeline, build brand awareness, and offer outstanding attendee experiences. Delivering great client events involves many stakeholders and the event strategists leads the charge in understanding business requirements and IBM clients and partners and integrating them in the event experience, providing critical leadership and partnership across marketing functions, sales and agency partners to bring the event plan to life. As part of this broader mission, the IBM Global Conference team scope is end-to-end execution of Think and TechXchange global conferences, annual IBM flagship conferences for clients and partners. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about B2B events, has a good understanding of event workstream alignment, strong project management skills, is detail and goal orientated, self-driven, and eager to learn and grow in the company. Key responsibilities: * Lead the tools and Rainfocus integration workstream for end-to-end conference execution - from registration setup, executive meeting design, session catalog creation to everaging real-time data for actionable insights to drive attendee personalization and accelerate lead creation * Co-own and contribute to the optimization of events to meet business objectives based on stakeholder feedback * Partner with other team members and key stakeholders, including demand strategy, digital & social, field marketing and others to help define objectives, target audience and develop plan including requirements for associated ABM/targeted audience actions * Contribute to the design of event attendee experience within the client journey * Manage post event outcomes and performance with relevant stakeholders (i.e. field marketing) * Handle end to end process and tools, as applicable: including, but not limited to, EMB entry, logo licenses, CTEBA (business amenities), data privacy, event uploads, event closing actions and post-event data analysis, lessons learned and debrief * Ensures all legal, compliance, procurement, finance, and other required processes are efficiently completed **Required technical and professional expertise** * Four (4) years or more experience in marketing or related role * Two (2) years or more experience in event marketing * Communication / Negotiation: partners well across functions, effectively utilizing group dynamics and negotiating to define approaches and goals; * Problem Solving: Recognizes complex problems related to functional objectives. Applies creativity and judgement to developmental work on different projects within the business environment. Analyzes situations and contributes to the implementation of solutions or development of new systems elements, procedures or processes. * Analytics/ Data driven: employing a data driven approach to decision making and recommendations, based on event performance analysis; partners across functions and utilizes marketing analytics and reporting tools & systems, including Excel, to analyze event-related data, identifying patterns or areas of focus. * Impact on Business: Accountable for results and for activities and or projects involving multi-functional teams. Regularly participates in overall functional program planning. And demonstrates discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance to IBM. * Contribution / Leadership: Understands functional mission and vision. Utilizes expertise to directly influence people outside function. Contributes to defining objectives within specified projects. **Preferred technical and professional experience** Experience with event and/or marketing platforms including Rainfocus, CVENT, Airtable, Marketo, Salesforce, etc.
