IC&E Technician
**A Snapshot of Your Day** Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and in coordination with the O&M services Contract at a combined cycle power plant. This position is responsible for the technical activities in the areas of instrumentation and control and electrical systems. The primary responsibility of this job is to conduct ICE (Instrument/Control/Electrical) functions safely, reliably, efficiently and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. **How You’ll Make an Impact** + Performs instrument calibrations, field checks, troubleshooting, and maintenance on control equipment or other equipment, as assigned. Maintains and installs control, monitoring, alarm and indicating systems and their individual components. This includes, but is not limited to, protective relays, turbine controls, voltage regulators, inverters and battery charger controls, motors, lighting, and grounding. + Performs maintenance on 18kv, 13.8kv, 4160vac, 480vac, 240vac,120vac and 125vdc equipment, breakers, and switchgear. + Maintenance of DCS and PLC systems (Siemens T3K, Ovation, and Allen Bradley), performs preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC and Fire Suppression Systems. Maintains facility equipment through corrective, predictive, and planned activities. + Provides hands on troubleshooting of equipment/systems (AC/DC) and provides/performs corrective action. Performs failure analysis to determine the cause of equipment/system malfunction. + Available to work overtime both scheduled and unscheduled, on days off and beyond regular work schedule and to perform shift work, including holidays, nights, and weekends, when required. + Follows all safety/environmental policies, procedures, rules and participates in training. Promotes the Company’s HSE vision through actions and conduct. **What You Bring** + High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree/certification in electrical or control field preferred. + Five years of experience as an industrial electrician or 5 years’ experience as an ICE (Instrument, Control, Electrical) Technician in a power plant environment preferred. + Knowledge of large generators, transformers, 4160/480-volt switchgear and systems, instruments, controls, and relaying equipment. + Ability to read, write and speak in the English Language and perform basic mathematical computations, ability to read and understand P&IDs, and electrical drawings. + Ability to work at various heights from aerial lifts, ladders, scaffolding and in areas of high noise and temperature extremes. + Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
