So, show us what you are made of, because who you are is what we need. **Job Category** Engineering & Science **Position Summary** This position is based onsite, Monday through Friday, at our Biorubber Process Research Center in Mesa, AZ. Install, set up, troubleshoot, service, and/or modify electrical / instrument equipment and systems. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration of electrical / instrument equipment and systems. Follow industry best practices, applicable codes/regulations, and/or plant standards (where available) for all work activities. Communicate and work effectively with operators, engineers, other maintenance technicians, and supervision. Provide design input and feedback about new or modified equipment / systems. **Responsibilities** Key responsibilities of the IC&E Technician position include, but are not limited to, the following: + The IC&E Technician will be responsible for planned, preventative and reactive maintenance for Electrical Assets and Control Systems. + Responsible for the maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of all Electrical Equipment and Infrastructure at the facility, within their own competence levels. + Installs pneumatic, electronic, and other instrumentation equipment. + Installs fixtures, motors, and other electrical equipment. + Operates distributive controls and programmable controllers to diagnose control problems. + Assists with planning layouts, running conduit, wiring, and tubing for both new and existing installations. + Assists with developing preventative maintenance programs. + Assist with the review of OEM manuals and creation of maintenance documentation for plant equipment including, maintenance strategies, safe working procedures and technical specifications. + Work with the maintenance team to develop the site Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) ensuring work is prioritized and executed efficiently to avoid overdue tasks. + Contribute towards the planning and execution of outage work scopes and maintenance management systems. + Understand the site Management of Change process to ensure that all plant modifications are captured. + Support the development and implementation of short-term and long-term maintenance strategies in line with industry best practices and technical procedures. + Support the development and management of the spares inventory and workshop. + Support IC&E improvement processes, management of corrective actions, defect notifications and rectification, as well as contributing towards effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) into major defects. + Take ownership of plant cleanliness and ensure excellent standards of housekeeping are maintained. + Promote and engage with the site EH&S performance to include safety inspections, plant area responsibilities, and partake in routine EH&S meetings and forums. + Assists with any other duties/projects given by supervisor(s). **EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** + Associate degree in industrial maintenance, Electronics, Electrical Power Engineering, Computer Electronics or related field or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. + Must have knowledge and experience with electronic and pneumatic process instrumentation, A/C and D/C variable speed drives and industrial power distribution systems (480 VAC and below). + Must have knowledge of the NEC, NFPA 70E, and Hazardous Location (CL I and II, DIV 1 and 2) Equipment Requirements. + Must have knowledge of Process Safety Management and Management of Change requirements. + Electrical and PLC experience is required. + Must be safety conscious. + Must be highly motivated and able to work unsupervised. + Must be able to lift 10-50 lbs. regularly. + Must be able to distinguish colors. + Must have excellent troubleshooting skills. + Must have excellent verbal and communication skills. **Minimum Qualifications** Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience **What we offer** At Bridgestone, what really matters is to foster co-creation opportunities and empowering you to be creative and curious to make mobility safer, more efficient, and more sustainable for future generations.
