Job Summary
The Inventory Control Planner is responsible for managing the supply flow for the Operating Rooms at University Hospital. This role performs various inventory management functions to ensure the right product is at the right place at the right time. This person is a high energy contributor who has high regard for customer service.

Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day2:1 Match on retirement savingsResponsibilities*Maintaining the integrity of the inventory and storage space in the assigned inventory locations in a manner consistent with infection control, safety, and supply chain best practices.Inventory ordering/receiving of LUM, PANDAC, Epro req's using provided tools/software.Stocking for all services and areas where the supply is located.Achieving inventory accuracy goals by utilizing Peoplesoft cycle counting practices, rotating stock, removing any expired product, and maintaining the overall orderliness of the assigned inventory.Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and their representatives.Maintenance of appropriate inventory levels through proactive stocking, supply ordering and / or collaboration with the clinical team, supply chain analysts and buyers.Utilize supply chain systems to troubleshoot issues and improve inventory integrity and reduce process variation.Reconciles discrepancies in inventory balances by requesting subs and placing supplemental orders to warehouse operations to avoid stockouts.Partner with internal purchasing group (Transactional Purchasing) to identify substitute supplies that are approved by clinical staff.Keep both the physical inventory storage locations well organized and labeled and maintain the inventory systems to always align our system information with the physical inventory location(s) for every item.Cross-train in multiple supply chain areas to cover additional / different supply chain responsibilities when needed.Lead with a 5S methodology for organizing, cleaning, developing, and sustaining a productive work environment all contributing to cost savings metrics.Proactively seek ways to support both the clinical team and supply chain analysts by performing various tasks such as: evaluating safety stock / par levels, storage appropriateness reviews, and other strategies to improve inventory accuracy.Effectively communicates with clinical staff and leadership on supply risk and availability.Expectation of overtime and weekend coverage if necessary. Duration of lifting or carrying: Will need to lift supplies weighing up to 25 lbs.Percent of workday standing: Less than or equal to 2/3.Other duties as required.Required Qualifications*Intermediate Level-
High school diploma or GED.2 or more years of relevant experience.Demonstrated commitment to details and follow-up.Basic understanding of material flow, information analysis and electronic inventory.Experience with problem solving resolution and root cause analysis.Proficiency with Excel, and a strong aptitude for technology and data analytics.Proactive about continuous learning and improvement.Team first mentality.Associate Level-
High school diploma or GED.0-2 years of prior experience.Willingness to learn Supply Chain systems and methodologies.Interest in working in the healthcare field.Demonstrated commitment to details and follow-up.Basic understanding of material flow, information analysis and electronic inventory.Experience with problem solving, resolution and root cause analysis.Utilization of basic applications: MS Suite.Proactive about continuous learning and improvement.Work ScheduleThis is an onsite first shift position with weekend work required and can be subject to change. Hours requested; 430am -1pm M-F and 4hr Saturday shift that alternates monthly.
