Job Purpose
The Innovation Quality works with the innovation team in conducting TRA, Identify the risks related to consumer safety and product quality, ensure the mitigating actions are taken timely before commercial production. The scope of innovation covers innovation launched in Asia.
The Innovation QA is technically competent, qualified, skilled and capable to conduct technical risk assessments, represents the site to the cross functional team (Production, Engineering, Quality, R&D and Planning) involved in the facilitation of the change. Knowledge and skill on the process, materials and QMS are required to dynamically enable or carry out the necessary changes without compromising Product Quality and Consumer Safety. The Innovation QA actively works with the Sourcing Unit Innovation Team, R&D, Procurement, Production and Projects Team in ensuring flawless execution of innovation projects.
The Innovation QA is responsible for providing regular analysis of E Incidents, RCA on EA, EB and EC rejections from Suppliers, COA Analysis, 3P lab annual analysis for products, SKU reference for new products and innovations, TRA and design phase HACCP control plan and works closely with the site Hygienist on cleaning and allergen validation for new products and processes.
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for the tracking Key Performance Indicators of the site related to Innovationand new processes.
Participate in the cross functional team composed of representatives from R&D, Planning and SUIT in the conduct of Technical Risk Assessment for defined New Innovation projects and processes in Asia.
Equip with full operational knowledge on identifying, prioritizing and providing full quality which includes PQS concerns and food safety view on TRA, follow up and ensure the mitigating actions in addressing the mentioned risks are taken timely and before commercial production.
Support ensuring that quality and food safety related parameters are considered in the technical risk assessment, design HACCP and Batch Trial Runs
Use appropriate tools and prioritization techniques in providing solution to noted quality and consumer safety issues on innovation and new processes.
Analyze complex data and assign into quality loss trees while applying correct methods to ensure proper calibration and interpretation of results as input to problem resolution noted during Main Plant Trials and Risk Assessments.
Develop training, guidance documents and visual controls on new processes, and new product innovations
Facilitate the Management of Change for any new product, new material and new processes implemented in the site and ensured that all changes are communicated, documented, and cascaded accordingly.
Review specification of new products and new materials for use for quality and food safety purposes.
Review design HACCP of new products and new raw materials and work closely with factory QA in reviewing HACCP.
Facilitate the verification of category / technology GMP as applicable to the site.
Work closely with factory QA in validating C&D and allergen when introduce new or change in raw material, process equipment.
Facilitate the quality definition of new products and materials through the development of PQS and identification of critical to quality parameters.
Support PLE by providing related information e.g. consumer complaint, PQS from factory, PQS on shelf
Identify digital transformation projects for Quality and executes the same to facilitate continual improvement of the Innovation and Improvement process
Utilize critical thinking to innovate current processes and establish standard parameters for new product innovation and new processes
Respect and follow all safety, health and environment rules, procedures and protocols related to the operations in the site.
Understand the legal responsibility relevant to safety, health and environment as well as its
Understand the need to meet the changing demands of consumers and the impact of quality and food safety on consumer buying decisions.
Support the growth strategies of the business through the facilitation of new product innovation and process changes together with SUIT and R&D.
Develop improvement projects based on the DVOC feedback and conducts monthly analysis on DVOC, engage the Quality Engineer on driving improvements
Candidate Criteria
Experience & Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in quality control or quality assurance in the food industry.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Presentation skills (well versed MD Office and Power Apps)
