BUSINESS CONTEXT AND MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Philippine Supply Chain Director is responsible for leading and managing the end to-end supply chain operations within a specific country, driving strategic initiatives to optimize the supply chain minimize costs and maximize customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the local market dynamics to develop and execute innovative solutions that enhance supply chain efficiency and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of products. By aligning supply chain strategies with overall business objectives and fostering strong relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other key stakeholders, the Country Supply Chain Director plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and achieving sustainable competitive advantage.
Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute the country's supply chain strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives.
Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Conduct regular reviews of the supply chain performance and adjust strategies as needed.
Supply Chain Operations:
Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, focusing on inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution, with indirect responsibility for procurement and manufacturing.
Manage relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other key stakeholders.
Implement robust inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and minimize holding costs.
Monitor and control supply chain costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
Customer Service:
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers, meeting or exceeding service level agreements.
Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve any supply chain-related issues.
Implement effective demand planning processes to anticipate customer needs and optimize resource allocation.
Team Leadership:
Lead and develop a high-performing team of supply chain professionals.
Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Represent the E2E Supply Chain in Leadership Team meetings and forms, and partner the Philippines Ice Cream GM and rest of the IC PH Cross-Functional Leadership Team
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, such as disruptions, natural disasters, and geopolitical events.
Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of disruptions on the business.
Compliance and Sustainability:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs, import/export, and environmental regulations.
Promote sustainable practices within the supply chain, such as reducing waste and minimizing carbon emissions.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Advanced degree (MBA or master’s in supply chain) preferred.
10+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a multinational company.
Proven track record in leading and managing supply chain teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and systems.
Deep understanding of the local market and regulatory environment.
Industry-Specific Knowledge: Experience in the specific industry (e.g., consumer goods, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals) is highly desirable.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with teams across different functions, such as sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
Global Perspective: Understanding of global supply chain trends and best practices.
Change Management: Ability to drive change and implement new processes and technologies.
