JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ice Cream US eCommerce Content Associate to join our digital marketing and media team. This individual will be responsible for managing the process by which brands brief in, create, and approve content with the content creation agency. They will ensure that content is housed in the appropriate systems/tools and that the syndication amongst tools downstream is accurate. Additionally, they will manage the syndication process for over 50 retailer partners, adhering to each retailer's ways of working, content preferences, and ingestion details. This role also involves overseeing the performance and feedback loop of these assets on retailer.com, driving engagement rates, contributing to sales impact, improving organic search performance on retailer websites, and monitoring competitive performance and share of shelf as key performance indicators (KPIs).
Now more than ever, consumers around the globe are increasingly turning to eCommerce as their primary means to acquire consumer goods. What was previously purchased from a shelf at a brick-and-mortar store is now being purchased more frequently online, and the need for informative, inspiring, and accurate digital content is mandatory in the eCommerce space. The primary purpose of this role is to position is to optimize and maintain digital content and item attribution across the full Unilever portfolio on our retailer platforms, delighting consumers with accurate, complete, optimized, and inspiring digital content, and ultimately enabling consumers to make informed buying decisions. It is imperative that this person possesses a working knowledge of the digital consumer and of the capabilities of major online retailer platforms
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the process of briefing, creating, and approving content with the content creation agency and with brand partnership and guidelines in mind. Ensure content is housed in the appropriate systems/tools and that downstream syndication is accurate. Oversee the syndication process for 50+ retailer partners, adhering to their specific ways of working, content preferences, and ingestion details. Monitor and analyze the performance and feedback loop of assets on retailer.com. Drive engagement rates, contribute to sales impact, and improve organic search performance on retailer websites. Track competitive performance and share of shelf as comparison metrics and KPIs. Ensure compliance with content standard best practices, GS1 standards and guidelines, and accessibility requirements.Key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Ecommerce Content Associate role:
Content Accuracy and Compliance: Ensuring that all content meets the standards, guidelines, and accessibility requirements, including GS1 standards. Syndication Efficiency: Successful and timely syndication of content to over 50 retailer partners, adhering to their specific requirements and preferences. Content quality and content completeness: standards of complete content available as per retailer requirements and requests (inclusive of product attribution) and the quality of the content, specifically the SEO of written content and prioritized keyword optimization and incorporation. Engagement Rates: Monitoring and improving engagement rates of content on retailer websites. Sales Impact: Contribution of content to sales performance and impact on retailer websites. Organic Search Performance: Enhancing the organic search performance of content on retailer websites. Competitive Performance and Share of Shelf: Tracking and improving competitive performance and share of shelf metrics. Feedback Loop Management: Effectively managing the feedback loop to continuously improve content performance based on retailer and consumer insights.
These KPIs will help measure the effectiveness and impact of the Ecommerce Content Associate in driving our digital marketing and media efforts.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
You’re a dot connector: You will help to shape the team’s overall digital content strategy, moving toward increasingly informed recommendations based on content testing. You will also share eContent best practices across broader Unilever eCommerce teams, brand teams, business partners, and with agency partners. You’re a paradox navigator: You’ll serve as a primary point of contact on digital content for cross functional brand, retailer and sales teams. Additionally, you’ll project manage key content refreshes across the Unilever Ice Cream portfolio, including new-item setups and innovation launches, corresponding item attribution tagging, digital content audits and reporting, and testing and measuring digital content effectiveness and optimization.EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of digital content experience Proven experience in ecommerce content management or a similar role. Familiarity with content standard best practices, GS1 standards and guidelines, and accessibility requirements. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and customer insights. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated project management skills Skilled in Microsoft Excel, and comfortable with basic Excel functions, such as pivot tables, v-lookups, dashboards, etc. Must be skilled in verbal and written communications, and able to effectively relate with multiple levels of management; strong influencing skills preferred Must have the ability to tackle complex situations, evaluate alternative courses of action, and provide fact-based solutions/recommendations Comfortable with some ambiguity and varying levels of workload from week-to-weekPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in the consumer goods industry, particularly in the food and beverage sector. Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms. Knowledge of retailer content syndication processes and requirements.LEADERSHIP:
