Ice Crew
Duties and Responsibilities:

Works closely with the Operations Manager and Operation Team Leaders to assist with ice rink preparation and maintenance. Including some event set-up and services.Assist with making ice for hockey and other ice related events including: dasher wall and dasher glass installation, building ice and painting/marking hockey lines and resurfacing ice as needed.Responsible for the cleaning, upkeep and minor maintenance of the facility and related support areas. Reports all major maintenance items and safety concerns to management.Assist with the cleaning, minor maintenance and proper storage of all ice event related equipment, including Ice Paint machine, Ice Resurfacing machine, hockey nets, hockey logos and other motorized equipment.Operates motorized equipment in the performance of assigned duties ie: ice resurfaces machine, forklifts and Bobcat.Compiles information and generates time reports for event wrap up information and work studies, tracts productivity, makes recommendations to management for increased productivity.Responsible for delivering the highest level of service to all clients and events. Assists in resolving client’s questions and concerns.This is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties performed by this classification, but rather a representation of general duties. Education and/or Experience:

A good knowledge of tools, materials, and event equipment used in event production; skill in the techniques of handling the tools and event equipment used in a variety of events and shows. Hockey knowledge and/or ice skating ability is a plus. Candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent.

Language Skills:

Must have ability to verbally communicate with the general public, clients, co-workers and management. Should also possess written communication skills and some computer skills.

Reasoning Ability:

Ice Crew member must have the ability to work from floor plan drawings and event checklists. Ice Crew member should have good team work skills, ability to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Ice Crew member must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license. Ice Crew member should have fork lift operator’s certificate or be able to obtain one.

Physical Demands:

Ice Crew member should be able to lift 50lbs. Operate motorized equipment such as: Ice resurfaces machine, forklift and Bobcat. Ice Crew member must have ability to remain active on your feet for a prolonged period of time and work on ice surface at temperatures from 10 to 15 degrees.

Work Environment:

The work of this class involves evening, weekend, and holiday work with short turn around deadlines. Ice Crew member may be asked to work outdoors as well as indoors on any ASM managed property. Must be well groomed and wear full uniform in accordance with ASM policy and procedure manual.
