ICE Service Engineer Project Lead
Job Title: ICE Service Engineer Project LeadJob Description As an ICE Service Engineer Project Lead, you will assess warranty tools against cost per unit concerns within the assigned propulsion group and identify opportunities for lower-cost repair options. You will lead work plans, support supplier recovery opportunities, and document lessons learned. You will present project status and results to senior management, interface regularly with quality and core engineers, and ensure follow-through on activities and documentation to meet milestones and deliverables. Responsibilities + Assess warranty tools against each cost per unit concern within the assigned propulsion group. + Identify opportunities for lower-cost repair options. + Initiate and lead work plans for identified opportunities. + Identify and support supplier recovery opportunities from initiation to completion. + Document lessons learned for knowledge sharing. + Attend team meetings and present project status and results to senior management. + Interface regularly with quality and core engineers. + Proactively follow through on responsible activities along with required documentation to meet milestones and deliverables. Essential Skills + Warranty and failure mode analysis + Customer concerns and resolutions (problem-solving) + Automotive Powertrain experience/knowledge + Project management skills Additional Skills & Qualifications + 5+ years of demonstrated automotive experience with a detail-oriented focus in Powertrain engineering, warranty, and manufacturing. + Understanding of propulsion systems (I4, 6.7L, 5.2L, 5.0L, 3.XL, 2.7/3.0L, 6.8/7.3L). + Experience in resolving customer concerns in a timely manner. + Experience working in quality improvement projects using DFSS, 8D, or other Six Sigma processes to support aggressive timelines. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for presentations and project tracking activities. + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field. The role involves regular interfacing with quality and core engineers and requires proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for project tracking and presentations. The work environment emphasizes continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, supporting aggressive project timelines. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $44.50/hr.
