ICI Product Operations Consultant (10888)

Description of role and responsibilities, overall job objective

The Product Operations Consultant is required to join the Business Insights and Solutions team and will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of our Cash Investment products and pricing, ensuring smooth and efficient processes, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

•    Define and document operational processes and procedures for Cash Investment products and pricing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
•    Conduct regular risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate risks, to ensure product operations remain compliant.
•    Perform comprehensive reviews of products and pricing to ensure adherence to the product control framework and risk policies.
•    Maintain the Product Register and conduct quarterly reviews of the control environment.
•    Ensure timely resolution of Internal Audit findings and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.
•    Manage and maintain all product collateral, including Product Rules, Product Fact Sheets, Cheat Sheets, etc.
•    Collaborate with IT and Operations stakeholders to resolve queries and address any operational issues.
•    Monitor and control exception reporting related to product rules and pricing.
•    Develop and draft workflow processes, including engagement with relevant stakeholders, process documentation, and system impact analysis.
•    Provide support in the IT3 testing process.
•    Assist in resolving any system issues, such as those related to the Investec Online platform or the Liabilities Rates Engine.
•    Engage with frontline and operational teams to ensure comprehensive consideration of all affected stakeholders when implementing changes, with a focus on change management and            smooth transition.
•    Conduct ad hoc application weekly testing as required.
•    Assist with monitoring and reporting on product functionality.
•    Liaise with channel operational heads to ensure adherence to product rules and governance structure across all products.
•    Contribute to projects related to product changes or the introduction of new product initiatives.

 

Academic Qualifications and experience

•    BCom or other relevant business degree
•    2-5 years banking experience
•    Strong knowledge of banking products, processes, and regulations.
•    Equation and RTFE

•    Strong MS Excel skills

•    VB/SQL knowledge
