Amentum is supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in providing specialized training, advisory and mentoring services to host nations under the Criminal Division’s International Criminal Investigative Training and Assistance Program (ICITAP).  https://www.justice.gov/criminal-icitap.   ICITAP is a cornerstone of America’s global strategy for combating transnational crime, terrorism, countering trafficking in persons, establishing rule of law and enhancing human rights in developing countries.  Amentum is the contract service provider to the DOJ ICITAP and Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT) programs.  **Please Note: This is an Independent Contractor position with Amentum, it should not be considered an employment relationship with Amentum.** **POSITION SUMMARY:** Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidates to serve as a Land Border Security Advisor (LBSA) on the EXBS Land Border Security Advisory Program team and join our dynamic team based in Chisinau, Moldova on a TDY basis with travel to project areas in Ukraine along the western borders. Advisor will deploy to project areas to train, mentor, and advise leadership personnel engaged in border security operations and serve as an advocate for Euro-Atlantic land border security “best operational practices”. Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Land Border Security Advisor in Ukraine. This position will be responsible for conducting medical training and advising the Ukraine State Border Guard Service (SBGS) on policies, plans, and strategies as it relates to medical programming. **JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Candidate should be thoroughly familiar with standardized mission planning and formal decision-making processes and mission analysis. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of organizational dynamics and have a demonstrated ability to develop flexible and adaptive plans and policies to accomplish mission requirements. + The LBSA will assist and advise with strategic planning and policy development on medical programs. + Demonstrated cross-cultural communications and adaptive leadership skills + Fluency in spoken and written English + Good interpersonal and time management skills **REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:** + Higher education + 10+ Professional patrol experience with a Customs Border Protection Agency + Have spent a minimum of two years as a tactical EMT on a Special Operations unit. + Possess training and experience and certifications in swift water rescue. + Possess training and experience in wilderness medical and austere environments. + Clearable: Must be able to obtain and maintain a PTW Moderate US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a PTW Moderate Clearance. **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:** + Graduated U.S. Border Patrol Academy. + Graduated U.S. Border Patrol Search Trauma and Rescue Selection Course. + Currently hold an EMT certification. + International law enforcement development and deployment experience. + Experience in post-Soviet countries highly desirable with functional knowledge of the Ukrainian or Russian Language.
