Job Description
As an ICP-MS Chemist, you will develop and validate methods for the QC lab, focusing on ICP-MS techniques. Your responsibilities include developing methods from existing ones and optimizing sample preparation methods. You will work closely with the QC team to validate these methods, adhering to SOPs and QMS requirements. Additionally, you will capture and document all test data following cGMP standards and prepare technical reports.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop methods from existing methods for compounds using ICP-MS and microwave digestion sample preparation methods.Optimize and update existing methods to meet new instrument parameters.Work with the QC team to validate the methods for use.Develop new methods for future product analysis.Capture and document all test method data in accordance with cGMP standards.Prepare technical reports consistent with client's requirements.Essential Skills7+ years of experience in method development and validation for ICP-MS.BS in Chemistry or a related field, or higher.Experience working within the life sciences industry, specifically within cGMP/FDA regulated facilities.Proficiency in ICP-MS and GC techniques.Ability to work with respirators, including PAPR.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in developing methods from existing methods.Ability to provide examples of method validations for ICP-MS.Comfortable working with potent compounds and hazardous chemicals.Work Environment
This position requires onsite work in Madison, WI and Verona, WI, with the sites being 10 miles apart. The role involves working with a fast-moving team, handling multiple deadlines and priorities, and adapting to constantly changing priorities. You may be expected to move between facilities as part of weekly/daily expectations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $52.00/hr.
