ICT Construction Manager – Data Centre - Norway

 

We are currently partnering with a bespoke Fire, Security and IT Solutions design, installation and support provider operation on Major Construction and Mission Critical projects across Europe. Due to continued success, they are seeking an ICT Construction Manager to join them on a Data Centre Project in Norway.

 

Responsibilities

 

Project Planning and Coordination: The ICT Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning of ICT infrastructure, ensuring that all technical requirements are met in terms of cabling, power supply, networking, and server room design. Coordination between various teams (e.g., construction, design, and ICT) is critical to maintain the project timeline. Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Managing relationships with vendors and contractors who supply ICT hardware and services is vital. The manager must ensure all third-party contractors meet quality standards and timelines for delivery and installation of critical infrastructure components. Budget and Resource Management: Overseeing the budget allocation for ICT infrastructure, including equipment, systems, and labor costs. This includes ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and costs are kept within budget throughout the construction process. Compliance and Standards: Ensuring that the construction and installation of ICT systems comply with industry standards, local regulations, and best practices (e.g., ISO standards, local fire safety regulations, and data protection laws). This includes managing audits and inspections. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks related to ICT infrastructure, such as equipment failures, delays in system delivery, or security vulnerabilities. The manager is responsible for implementing mitigation strategies to minimize these risks. Quality Control and Testing: Ensuring that all ICT systems and infrastructure are installed correctly, meet operational requirements, and pass quality assurance tests. This includes overseeing system integration and conducting performance testing of the installed network and data systems to ensure everything functions as intended.

 

Requirements

 

5+ years of experience in ICT infrastructure or data centre construction Bachelor’s or Master's degree in ICT, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Must have EU Passport or Norwegian RTW

 

Benefits

 

£600 per day OR £100,000 per annum + Flights + 10/4 rotation + Accommodation
