ICW Cross-Trained Assistant I
Overview Performs secondary case activities to assist Child Welfare Specialists in completing case management responsibilities. Activities may include interviewing applicants, making copies of case files and completing referral applications, obtaining signatures, transporting children and adults who are included in the case plan activities, supervising visits and recording interactions between visiting parties, assisting in the physical placement of children, obtaining and filing legal paperwork, scheduling appointments and other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT High school diploma or general education degree (GED); no exceptions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT No additional experience required. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should know Database software, Internet software, and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. This position must travel extensively and at times must transport children in care, custody, and control of the Cherokee Nation. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. Must have a personal vehicle available at all times to perform the work required by this position. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), Toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
