**Now Hiring an ID/OD Grinder** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled ID/OD Grinder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating OD/ID grinders (Jones & Shipman or similar) to produce the required number of correct parts in a timely manner according to process documentation. The parts have 2/10ths tolerances and each piece ranges in cost from $3,100 to $4,600. This role includes operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously and correctly setting up jobs in assigned equipment in a timely manner. Weekend shift is Fri - Sun, 6am - 6pm (work 36 hours and paid for 40) **Responsibilities** + Operate OD/ID grinders to produce parts according to process documentation. + Perform 1st piece, in-process, and last piece inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges, and CMM equipment. + Perform data collection and communication tasks in Job Boss and other applications. + Perform operator maintenance and diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues. **Essential Skills** + CNC OD Grinding + CNC ID Grinding + 3 years of CNC Grinding experience + Blueprint Reading + Firm understanding of machining center theory, including x, y, and z axis, along with edge and center line pickup + Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) + High school diploma or equivalent **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team in a job shop machining center for the aerospace industry.
