We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Lean Engineer to lead and elevate our continuous improvement initiatives within the IDCS organization. This role is pivotal in optimizing rack integration processes, minimizing waste, and enhancing client value. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process gaps, implement innovative solutions, and drive productivity and quality improvements. The Senior Lean Engineer will strategically collaborate with senior executives, delivering insightful and persuasive presentations that drive decision-making and foster organizational growth.
This role reports to the IDCS Director of Quality Assurance and is required to report to the SHI Ridge Piscataway, NJ location.

ResponsibilitiesInclude but not limited to:
Lead strategic continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, implementing industry best practices.Collaborate with clients and stakeholders in high-level meetings to align on process maturity and improvement goals.Utilize advanced Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, including value stream mapping, Kaizen, and fishbone analysis, to enhance supply chain processes.Conduct Gemba Walks to identify inefficiencies and propose impactful solutions.Spearhead projects to streamline build cycle times and optimize hardware transfer processes.Partner with Solutions Consultants and Document Specialists to refine documentation, reducing redundancy and ambiguity.Analyze and automate data collection of baseline cycle times in collaboration with the build, quality, and engineering teams.Work with the IDCS Business Intelligence team to develop comprehensive reports and metrics to track and improve performance trends.Evaluate and implement improvements to simplify rack integration processes.Ensure safety standards are met in build areas and train teams on Lean methodologies to boost productivity.Work with the IDCS Quality Program Manager to identify root causes of inefficiencies and recommend strategic process changes. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.7–10 years of advanced experience in Lean/Six Sigma within a manufacturing environment.2–4 years of experience in a Data Center setting. Required Skills Proficient in the latest Lean manufacturing techniques and adaptable to new methodologies.Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.Results-driven with a strong focus on continuous improvement.Proficient in project management and data analytics.Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt level), or similar continuous improvement methodologies. Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $11,000 - $150,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
