ResponsibilitiesResponsible for supervising day-to-day health services activities. Health Services provides
services and supports for foster care, residential and juvenile justice involved youth. Full time
morning and evening shifts are available as well as weekend and holiday per diem shifts
available.
Other duties include but, are not limited to the following:
• Provides general medical care and treatment to individual supported per program, on site.
• Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed
guidelines and instructions.
• Provide health evaluations, assessments and screenings with follow-ups.
• Review all Pediatric guidelines for care, including immunizations and testing
• Records physical findings based on patient’s condition.
• Participate in clinical team and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive
patient care plan utilizing historical and current information
• Conducts and assists in medical examinations of youth after incidents.
• Provides health education to youth supported, including reproductive health education
• On call for all triage, sick, urgent and quick coverage, questions and consult calls for
assigned programs.
• Administer Medication.
• Train staff.
• Assist with home visits and community provider visits as needed
• Other duties as assigned.
• Valid New York State Registered Nurse License
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
• Recent Experience in pediatric nursing and/or psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship, oral and written communication skills
