PRIMARY PURPOSE Assesses and resolves advanced user access problems related to security controls to minimize business impact and risk exposure. Investigates potential security incidents, engages process partners as required. Participates in internal and external audit activities, maintains documentation for future audits. Provides consultation on the impact to current state and make recommendations to future state process. Reviews controls and makes recommendations on improvements to eliminate risks. Primary owner and subject matter expert over one or more technologies/platforms having to do with access or identity management.
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
Education - Must have a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Systems, or other related fields.
Experience - Must have six years of experience in an information systems security domain, preferably with focus on identity and access management.
Equivalent Education and/or Experience - May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.
Certification/Registration/Licensure - None.
Skills or Special Abilities - Must have advanced knowledge of Identity and Access Management frameworks - Must have a general working knowledge of the HIPAA Security Rule as it applies to Identity and Access Management. - Must be able to articulate concepts of secure access management such as access request process, approval workflow, role-based access management, and account de-provisioning requirements. - Advanced working knowledge of design, implementation, and maintenance of: Microsoft Active Directory / GPO, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Identify and Access Management software, Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook; Linux Operating Systems, Windows Operating Systems, Communication Protocols, Multi-factor authentication systems, Cloud Access Security Broker, Security Information and Event Management Tools - Must have a working knowledge of common security concepts. - Must have an advanced working knowledge of the HIPAA Security Rule and PCI. - Must have excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. - Must be able to listen and communicate effectively with executive-level staff and leadership teams. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing projects. - Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they arise. - Must be able to demonstrate excellent technical documentation and communication skills. - Must be willing to perform after-hours on-call duties. - Must have a collaborative work style that includes and values the views of others in recommendations and decisions.
Responsibilities 1. Under general supervision, performs all procedures necessary to ensure the Parkland workforce receives and maintains appropriate access necessary to perform their work. 2. Design, implement and support Identity and Access Management platform maintained by the Parkland Information Security Organization. 3. Serves as liaison between business and clinical areas and technical staff to ensure workforce members access needs are escalated in a timely manner and workforce members receive proper communication concerning their needs. 4. Maintains access control request queues and delivers against service level agreements (SLA). 5. Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements, and monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall division goals of the department and Parkland. 6. Provides 24x7 tier three support for user access issues on a rotating basis, ensuring rapid response to user issues during and after business hours. 7. Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact Information Security Access Management. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding. 8. Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field of Information Security Access Management by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, and actively participating in professional organizations. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices. 9. Must pursue Identity and Access Management industry-accepted or Parkland directional tools and applications training.
