IEEE India Philanthropy Officer - 250032 : N/A Description Name of the contract position: IEEE India Philanthropy Officer Duration: 18 Months Location: Based out of Bangalore, but required to travel to project locations across India Salary: Depending on the exposure to social projects and years of experience The Job role includes - Overall project management across the states of the assigned project and ensure the following activity in the field
- Mapping of villages, Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLE’s) / Village level technicians, internal and external stakeholders
- Providing role clarity to the different stakeholders engaged in the project
- Coordinating and conducting training and capacity building of VLE’s and Village level technicians
- Ensuring access to appropriate services and products to the villages and VLE’s
- Mentoring and support to ensure the functioning of the VLE’s at the panchayat level
- Promoting internet awareness and internet usage among the villagers, especially among women and children
- Quality assurance support for the VLE’s / VLT’s to ensure effective functioning, scale and sustainability
- Continuous Monitoring and Evaluation, and documentation of learning from the project
- Support impact measurement of the project with the hired consultant or organization
- Field-level coordination with the IIP coordinators, partners, IEEE members, volunteers, and internal and external stakeholders
- Coordination of the overall activities related to the project to ensure the outputs, outcomes, and impact
- Organise state-level field visits in coordination with the project staff, IEEE members, volunteers and local organizations
- Any other assigned job by IEEE India Philanthropy
Education background and Skills: - Post graduation with 5-6 years of experience working for social issues
- Willing to travel extensively within the project locations
- Willing to work with a not-for-profit entity exclusively to promote the internet and technology for humanity
- Good written and communication skills in English. Kannada, Tamil and Hindi, are desirable, proficient in any two local languages will be an advantage.
