This role involves overseeing the recruitment, training, and monitoring processes while upholding strict confidentiality regarding IELTS tests and materials. **Professional Support Network (Structure):** The Professional Support Network (PSN) is a comprehensive system designed to support IELTS Examiners through recruitment, training, standardization, and monitoring. This network includes Centre Administrators, Examiner Trainers (ETs), and Examiner Support Coordinators (ESCs). Each center is assigned an Examiner Trainer to manage these processes, and an Examiner Trainer may oversee multiple centers. **Reporting Relationships:** Examiner Trainers report to the ESC assigned to their region and assist Centre Administrators with examiner recruitment. They also receive administrative support from Centre Administrators for conducting training, standardization sessions, and monitoring activities. **IELTS Examiner Trainer** **What you will do:** 1. Examiner Recruitment + Review and approve examiner applications. + Assess the need for IELTS tests. + Participate as a member of the interview panel. 2. Examiner Training + Deliver training sessions both in-person and online. + Oversee the Confidentiality Undertaking for in-person training and confirm completion for online sessions. + Approve candidates for certification and screen out unsuitable trainees. + Prepare and submit post-training reports. 3. Standardization and Recertification + Conduct standardization workshops in-person and online. + Complete and submit post-standardization reports. 4. Monitoring New and Inactive Examiners + Monitor sample interviews and complete feedback forms. + Submit completed ratings and monitoring forms to the Administrator within specified deadlines. + Provide follow-up training for new examiners within their first six months. 5. Monitoring Current Examiners + Review sample interviews and complete monitoring feedback forms. + Send completed forms to the Administrator within 7 days. + Offer additional support and follow-up monitoring as needed. 6. Administrative Duties + Communicate with Administrators about assigned Centers. + Prevent double-booking for Examiner Training services. + Ensure availability for all required roles, including notifying the Administrator of any intended leave. **Compensation and Benefits** The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $65 per hour. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The University of Colorado is committed to diversity and equity in education and employment. **Qualifications** **Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)** + A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. + A recognized qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or a recognized equivalent studied as part of an accredited institution. + Four (4) years IELTS examining experience OR 2 years' IELTS examining experience PLUS a minimum of 600 candidates examined in the Speaking test. + Five (5) years full time (or the equivalent part time) relevant TESOL teaching experience. Most of this teaching experience must relate to adult students (16 years and over). + Active IELTS Examiner status for the Speaking module. **Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)** + Master's degree or terminal degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. + Experience in conducting training workshops and seminars with teachers or other professional colleagues. + Experience operating a performance management system, which includes the ability to assess performance against set criteria. + Experience in hiring, recruitment, and/or selection of candidates. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** + A strong certification and monitoring history. + Ability to prioritize deadlines. + Ability to complete tasks accurately and in sufficient detail. + Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively. + Strong customer service skills, including experience providing customer service to multi-lingual speakers. + Ability to maintain the reputation and integrity of the IELTS test, IELTS USA, and CU Denver ESL Academy + Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with instructional faculty and staff. + Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality. **Conditions of Employment** This position is fully remote, and the candidate can work anywhere in the United States, although we would welcome an in-office presence.
