IEP Coordinator (Sheppard Pratt School - Rockville)

The Sheppard Pratt School- Rockville, is a year round, non-public special education program that serves elementary, middle, and high school students with emotional and behavioral disorders and Autism spectrum disorders. The program utilizes a therapeutic community/group model where special education and counseling are integrated within the milieu. Students are taught communication, personal accountability, problem solving, social skills, and relationship building skills through the daily group counseling sessions, social skills groups, and community meetings.

As an IEP Coordinator you will: 

 Be responsible for the supervision and coordination of the Individual Education Plans (IEP) process.  Schedule, organize preparations, and lead IEP meetings; audit IEP documentation for quality and timeliness, and educate teaching and related services staff in the IEP process. Serve as a resource to school staff for questions and act as an effective liaison with the local school system (LSS) administration.

The pay range for this position is $56,160 minimum - $95,513 maximum.  Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.

What we need from you.

A master’s degree in special education. Must possess or demonstrate eligibility to apply within 30 days of start date, MSDE Professional License (PL) in secondary education or special education. Must have at least 1 year of experience in direct instruction, formal and informal assessments, learning disabilities, autism, and aligning IEP goals and objectives.
