Role Overview:

 

We're looking for a candidate with experience in software development to join our Cloud Solutions team. This team designs, implements, and maintains software ina an AWS cloud environment that is tailor-made to address the substantial processing, networking, and data-moving challenges arising from data science. Utilizing the elasticity of the cloud and innovative Big Data technologies, the team collaborates with faculty and R&D teams to develop highly optimized state-of-the art solutions.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Use AWS to provide serverless and cutting-edge ML solutions.Contribute to leading both research and clinical initiatives to develop software solutions for complex data science projects.Use software design and development best practices to create and maintain efficient data analysis and workflow pipelines.Employ best practices in coding, including thorough testing and documentation of code.

 

Qualifications

 

 

Who You Are:

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related discipline.AWS certification is a plus.

Expertise:

      Three to five years of programming experience; three to five years of systems experience; minimum of two years of application development experience in a clinical and/or research setting.Software development experience in languages such as Python, Scala, Java.Familiarity with scripting and process automation.Experience in a Linux/Unix environment, including proficiency in shell scripting.Strong mathematical and abstract thinking skills, with hands-on ability to turn ideas into code.Knowledge of standard algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and scientific programming.Knowledge of web development technologies is beneficial.Big Data (Spark) systems knowledge is also a plus.Standard knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and scientific programming.Experience in bioinformatics is a plus but not required.
