Our team at The Institute for Genomic Medicine (IGM) at Nationwide Children’s Hospital is driven to create a future where no child with genetic disease goes undiagnosed and every child with cancer receives optimal treatment based upon their personal genome sequence. Led by a team of internationally renowned genomic medicine scientists, we are housed in the campus’ newest research building, spanning ~25,000 square feet of laboratory and office space in a highly interactive setting. We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Data Management team, to support the development and implementation of a commercial enterprise Laboratory Information Management System (LabVantage LIMS). The Business Analyst is primarily responsible for gathering functional requirements from end users (e.g., genomic scientists, laboratory directors/managers and laboratory technicians) and translating those functional requirements into technical specifications for the development team. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills as a business analyst to support our large clinical research lab, as we provide genomic testing to children with cancer and rare genetic disorders nationwide. The Senior Business Analyst helps create the vision of how the requirements overlay onto the LIMS product – for both out of the box functionality and custom development needs - to produce a cohesive solution that streamlines lab processes and ensures the ability to manage, track, and database genomics data within the LIMS. This position is part of a distributed team that on occasion will need to come to the NCH main campus for meetings. The option for hybrid or full-time on-site is also available.
