Position Summary:

We are seeking applications from highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellows to join the Canines Providing Assistance to Wounded Warriors (C-P.A.W.W.: https://www.fau.edu/i-health/c-paww/) Health Research Initiative for Veterans at Florida Atlantic University. Under the direction of Principal Investigator (PI) Cheryl A. Krause-Parello, PhD, RN, FAAN in the FAU Division of Research, the C-P.A.W.W. research team investigates human-animal interaction and nonpharmacological approaches to promote the health and well-being of veterans and their families. Specifically, candidates will be involved in exciting and highly innovative interdisciplinary research and community engagement projects.

Essential:

Participate/assist in grant writing, including document creation and editing.Participate/assist in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentations.Lead and manage research projects, including participant recruitment and graduate and undergraduate student supervision as needed.Assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submission and ensure compliance, including organization and management of study and project research files.Analyze, interpret, and document research findings for review.Present research findings at local, regional, national, and international conferences and other events.Collaborate with other members of the research team to refine existing and develop new research initiatives.Maintain frequent communication with the PI, C-P.A.W.W. team members, FAU collaborators, and community stakeholders to ensure research productivity and effective partnerships.Website and social media management.Perform office management tasks and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Eligibility for appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow requires the candidate to hold a terminal degree, e.g., Ph.D., M.D., D.S.W., Ed.D., D.Ph., D.N.P. A terminal degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel., statistical software, and reference management software. Must also have excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills.
