Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a skilled Illustrator in Arlington, Virginia. As an Illustrator, you will be a vital part of our team, translating complex data into engaging visuals for our Earth Systems team. This role involves creating graphic illustrations and visualizations with several years of experience, particularly for charts, graphs, and technical infographics. This role could potentially extend to support other design requests across our organization in the future. Responsibilities: • Transform provided assets such as data, sketches, etc., into graphic illustrations and visualizations with several years of experience. • Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines. • Use industry-standard design software proficiently, such as Adobe Creative Suite. • Create detailed illustrations focusing on technical and scientific subjects. • Collaborate with the team to translate complex data into clear and engaging visuals. • Extend support to other design requests across the organization as needed. • Maintain efficiency in a fast-paced workflow. • Ensure all illustrations and visualizations are accurately aligned with the provided data. • Adapt to evolving design requests and tasks.
