About the Project / Program:
CA31 - Battlefield Communications Systems sustains the ADF’s fleet of equipment that make the Tactical Communications Network (TCN) and Battlefield Telecommunications Network (BTN).
The ILS Officer will be reporting to a CA31 ILS Manager, to manage a wide range of ILS and system support tasks for the transition from the MILIS system to the ERP/SAP management system. You will also conduct a range of fleet and inventory tasks for sustainment.
About the Role:
Defence is expected to transition from its current logistics/supply/finance, electronic management system, MILIS to a new SAP based system from late Sep 2024. You will assist the CA31 ILS Manager with a range of preparation and engagement tasks to assist the successful transition to the new operating system. From post the transition date, you will be required to assist the CA31 ILS Manager and fleet managers with a full range of ILS and system tasks, whilst all current staff build skill and experience with the new system.
Experience Skills Sought:
Essential Experience and / or Qualifications:
A qualified practitioner with a recognised Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 6 qualification in a relevant domain, or relevant industry experience of more than 8 years; and
Knowledge and experience with inventory management and Logistics Information Systems, including Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS), and/or Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Experience in the logistics handling of Cryptographic equipment and custodianship
Highly Desirable Experience and / or Qualifications:
A technical experience or background, including the ability to obtain a Technical Proficiency Level 7 (under Land Domain (E&T) 12-1-005, Assessment of Technical Proficiency and Assignment of Technical Authority) will be highly beneficial for this role;
Extensive industry and specialty experience in Integrated Logistics Support Management
Defence and/or CASG materiel logistics experience (Acquisition and/or Sustainment);
Experience in codification and cataloguing of Items of Supply (IoS);
Experience in governance and asset assurance, stocktaking, and disposals;
Experience in adjusting entitlements using Materiel Entitlements Management System (MEMS) or the Equipment Entitlement Variation (EEV) process;
Knowledge of Commonwealth and Defence logistics and procurement policy, including DEFLOGMAN, ESCM, CPRs and DPPM;
Working knowledge of CMT-L to support the Technical Certification process (i.e. creating Complete Equipment Schedules (CES) and developing technical data packs to support cataloguing);
Knowledge of Commonwealth and Defence logistics and procurement policy, including DEFLOGMAN, ESCM, CPRs and DPPM;
Previous Defence experience in transition into sustainment, providing in-service support, and working with military personnel;
Understanding of the interdependencies between Logistics with Engineering and Configuration Management;
Defence Cryptographic handling certification
Understanding of ODCS and FIC; and
Already have or ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.
