Responsibilities
This position will focus primarily on the development of Siemens’ Inverse Lithography Tooling as well as mask synthesis flows and solutions for patterning processes.The Product Engineer role provides an extraordinary opportunity to help define and support the development of enabling RET/OPC capabilities for next-generation lithography processes.The PE role requires close collaboration with R&D software engineering, product marketing, Quality Assurance (QA) and our customers.This position reports to the Calibre Director of ILT Product Management.Responsibilities includeDevelopment of testcases, shell scripts, and SVRF to explore cutting edge patterning scenarios in the inverse lithography space.Objective evaluation of tool performance, analysis of limitations, and performance against customer specifications.Working closely with R&D engineering to create proposals for how to overcome any tool limitations. Testing of improvements after implementation of improvements and documentation of improvements vs baselines.Use of PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence in clear, easy to read, and self-explanatory data.Ability to lead small groups of engineers on focused projects. Tracking of progress using quantifiable numerical metrics.Publishing and presentation at industry conferences, representing Siemens EDA, networking and relationship building.Providing in-depth technical support and training to our customers, defining and characterizing new capabilities, supporting research partnerships, and working closely with AE teams in the field.Product Marketing to communicate the value and benefits of new features and capabilities.Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Candidates for this position should have a strong interest in supporting enabling software technology for RET.BSEE or MSEE/ MS in Physics, Physical Chemistry, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines required. 1-3 years of industry lithography or OPC experience is desirable.Candidates should have a working familiarity with Unix and Linux OS, and previous experience with TCL, Perl, Python scripting, or C programming, while not necessary, is desirable.This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The salary range for this position is $82,900 to $149,200 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
