Imaging Navigator

The primary role of the imaging navigator is to track actionable radiologic findings utilizing a software tracking program to ensure these findings are communicated to the physician and patient. 

Specific goal:  Reduce missed radiologic findings requiring follow up care and evaluate the tracking program to determine if it successfully decreases missed findings and increases the number of appropriate studies and recommended follow up care.

Essential duties:

The navigator will relay information to physicians regarding actionable findings in a timely and professional manner The navigator will track radiologic recommendations and ensure physicians and patients understand the finding and recommended follow up care. The navigator will be responsible for maintaining the database of actionable findings requiring follow up care The navigator will be responsible for data collection/analysis and dissemination of findings The navigator will identify opportunities and make recommendations for improvement
