Position Responsibilities:
Provides assistance to the technologists with patient related functions as requested. Assists in transporting of patients supplies films and reports to/from department as workload demands. Assists with processing and copying films in order to maintain an efficient patient flow through department. Assists with cleaning and/or stocking rooms as needed or requested by supervisor. Demonstrates knowledge and the ability to utilize the Patient Tracking program used for requesting patient transport by both phone or computer. Exercises proper safety precautions and good judgment when handling and transporting any diagnostic equipment. Notifies appropriate department personnel of patient's arrival in the department to ensure efficient patient throughput. Assists in coordinating requests for procedures with patient's films when necessary. When staffing limitations require are able to retrieve films and /or master jackets from either the Film Library or the mezzanine. Implements Standard Precautions on all patients at all times as directed by hospital policy. Transports crash cart to Central Supply for maintenance/restocking as necessary. Answers phones as needed and requested in order to provide efficient service to whomever is calling. Demonstrates commitment to uphold the standards of customer services and operation excellence program on a daily basis. Attends month departmental staff meetings as scheduled.Qualifications:
