Imaging Service Representative & Radiology Assistant Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $17.00 - $22.45 an hour - Full Time, Days. 40 hours a week. Boulder Community health is seeking an Imaging Service Representative & /Radiology Assistant who are responsible for smooth operations and efficiency of each modality within the Imaging Department.

Qualifications •Prefer high school graduate or equivalent. Medical terminology course preferred. •BLS by end of conditional period. •Previous medical office, nursing assistant and/or radiology assistant experience preferred.
Responsibilities •Transports patients to and from the Imaging Department for exams/procedures from all areas of the hospital, monitoring their care during the process, keeping chart with inpatients at all times. •Assists patients during procedures, maintaining continued proper function of IV’s, monitors and/or oxygen support equipment. •Assists with processing patient paperwork, communicates with other departments when patients are having multiple exams. •Informs the technologist of the need for the “take-with”, “call-report”, and/or “STAT” reading requests. •Furnishes information regarding the department and services as requested. •Answers telephone courteously with quality customer service skills, taking accurate messages. •Schedules outpatient and in-patient exams and informs the office, nurse, or patient of any exam preparation as needed. •Pulls, updates and organizes patient jackets prior to daily exams, returns and/or re-files jackets in file room prior to department closing, utilizing the cancel/no show slots as necessary. •Hang films and pulls all dictated exams from the multi-leaf or view boxes and re-files them in the appropriate patient’s film jackets. •Assists physicians, technical and nursing staff with patient care, film retrieval, computer operations, and report retrieval as necessary.
