We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** As an Imaging Student Extern, you will perform a variety of imaging procedures and will be responsible for patient safety protocols. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role: + You will perform professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. + You will be responsible for patient care, comfort and completion of required procedures. + You will participate in CQI activities. + You will function as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. + You will possess knowledge of growth and development; and have an understanding of the range of treatment needed for these patient groups. **What qualifications you will need:** + State License Radiological Practical Technician + Must have knowledge of anatomy and physiology. + American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification. + Student from an approved school of Radiologic Technology or receiving student training on the job under direct supervision of a certified technologist. + Completed the first year of a 2-year Radiologic Technologist program in an AMA approved school program.
