The role you’ll contribute:

Under supervision the Imaging Support Representative will engage patients, family members and staff to enhance their experience. Will facilitate the movement of patients, visitors, medications, and specimens within the hospital while providing a caring and professional atmosphere. The needs and concerns of the patients and visitors are acknowledged by sensing, helping, acknowledging, respecting, and explaining. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Helps the imaging team with the needs of the department as requested.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Answers phones and greets patients and guests using facilities' Compassion Behaviors and using outstanding customer service skills. Notifies appropriate department(s) or person of patient progress. Deescalates any patient conflicts that may occur and handles those conflicts by adhering to the policies and mission of facility. Follows department escalation process and reports any issues to the Imaging Support Supervisor and/or Manager that may occur during shift

· May research scripts, previous forms, orders, and changes and cancels exams accordingly. Uses scheduling program to research exams scheduled for patients and requests reschedules as needed

· Reviews, facilitates, and validates requests for imaging records for patients and/or physician offices. Releases records in accordance with all HIPAA, federal and state laws related to release of information, and may also document patient account appropriately

· Proficiently uses office equipment with care and knows how to operate printers, fax, computers, scanners, film printers, image importing and exporting equipment and software

· May release CD images to patients and/or physician's office utilizing proper sign out process.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

High School diploma or equivalent

Basic Life Support (CPR)
